…though literally true (we rent our current house), we are now reminded daily that a major move is coming up and all our worldly possessions will loaded into boxes and flung halfway around the world. This is a picture of our living room a few days ago–it has become much more crowded since! The movers will arrive Thursday morning and hopefully have the entire house emptied by Friday night. Laurie, Ethan, and David will spend the week in Charlottesville with the grandparents while Jonathan wraps up a final week of Swahili study.
We appreciate all your prayers and best wishes as we head out to Kenya. The boys have done remarkably well in wishing this home goodbye–there have been some tears, but also excitement as we look forward to a ride on an airplane and safaris to come. Please continue to pray for safety, energy to finish the many last-minute tasks, and grace for all of us as we travel together.

Ah…finally an update! Love the pic. Hope to see you guys before you go.

Hi, guys! Thanks for the update…can’t believe you’re nearing one week before take off! We’re thinking of you all and hope to touch base before you leave. Hope you have a great day and that it’s filled with peace!
Wow….I am having flashbacks! (only, we didn’t have anything new). Lots has changed in only 8 years-last time we were there there was strict control on Internet use.
Have a good final week, and we’ll pray for your transition! – Charity (and John)
